The courgettes are mental, mental, chicken oriental.
Seriously, the plants are huge and if there was a competition for the largest plant and the most grown then I’m pretty certain that we’d defo win! We already had 3 in the fridge and I’ve just picked another 3 after work tonight and one of them is huge! Phil’s going to have to make some more of his delicious relish again.
I might add it to the recipes but it’s one we’ve pinched so feel a bit guilty.
We do have friends coming over tomorrow night so I might just chop up a couple and add them to my Lasagne.
We’ve picked another cabbage, lola rossa and a few carrots which haven’t really done too well
The peppers, however, are gorgeous and look like supermarket peppers. Well chuffed! The poly tunnel has done us proud again.

Ay up Phil and Sophie,
I’ve finally tracked you down again (sounding like a bit of a stalker here!) The blog I mean.
Anyway, I was on a high from my small haul of potatoes until I saw all the produce from your farm in Leeds! I’m impressed.
If you’re sick of boiled courgettes our local cafe is rustling up a courgette and rocket soup, which sounds nice. Haven’t got the recipe but I’m sure it would be easy to adapt a general veg soup recipe. Just sling in some cream that always makes things taste nice.

Ooh that sounds good! I’ve just bought some spinach so could do a spinach and courgette soup! I made Jamie Olivers English Onion Soup last week, which was really nice. Used all the onions we’ve grown!
Phil’s just pickling some more gherkins now…we have about 4 jars now! xx
