Ok so I attempted to make a quiche the other day…didn’t go as well as expected but if we’d not gone to the allotment to pick gherkins then it would have been amazing!
Anyway, here is the recipe. I will attempt to make another one this weekend so hopefully will attach a pic.
You will need:
- 150ml double cream
- 150ml milk
- 2 Large eggs
- 75g Red leicester cheese
- 1 courgette
- 1 red onion
- salt and pepper
- And pre made shortcrust pastry. Obviously you can make this yourself but I’m lazy
- Mix the cream, milk , eggs, salt and pepper in a bowl.
- Add chopped courgette and onion.
- Grate the cheese and mix that in.
- Pre heat oven to 180.
- Roll out the pastry and line it in a heatproof quiche / flan dish.
- Pour the mixture into the pastry
- Put in the oven for an hour or until set.
- Don’t leave in oven to go to the allotment so that it burns on top.
